QEWA- Qualifying and Empowering Women in Agriculture

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Qualifying and Empowering Women in Agriculture under the Productive Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is comprised of three components. The first component is a capacity building program that is designed to support 600 women working in the fruits, vegetables, and nuts value chains in the North to access income generation and employment opportunities. The program targets four main topics; Leadership, Personal development, Managerial skills, and Women do business.

The second component is empowering 20 MSMEs on the UN Women Empowerment Principles (WEP) that support the integration of gender equality within enterprises. This phase will consist of WEP training sessions which will be followed by a follow up and support on the phase of the integration and adoption of WEP within their businesses.

The third and last component is an E-commerce training that will target 20 women SMEs and their employees who are in charge of the social media platforms and marketing. The topics are: meaning of e-commerce and its types, Online marketing, Products specifications and requirements per sector, How to transfer and ship, Taxes, Payment gateways, Restrictions, PCI Compliance, what platform to use, where to export, countries and agreements.
